Masonry Cleaning
We are highly experienced in stone cleaning and only utilise methods that provide the most effective solution to remove dirt, grime, algae, moss and air pollution. Our stone cleaning processes include nebulous cleaning, steam cleaning and swirl abrasive cleaning, a mix of low air pressure, a little water and a safe inert fine media such as calcite or dolomite. We also use a chemicals and poultices specific for the removal of sulphation, browning, copper and rust staining.
Internally often a material called Latex Cleaning Poultice is used, which has a ‘cream’ consistency but once exposed to air cures slowly to a rubbery film. It is applied on to the stone, which is then peeled off after 24 hours, removing dirt and grime in the process.

Effective Stone Cleaning
It is highly important to ensure that any stone cleaning and restoration tasked is carried out by qualified operatives who should hold a Blue Skilled CSCS card in Facade Maintenance Cleaning to ensure that soiling and coatings are effectively removed and the underlying surface is not damaged.
We have more than four decades in the industry and have worked on historical listed buildings, monuments and heritage projects throughout London and further afield.

To ensure the longevity and health of your stone building it is essential to have a proper and efficient maintenance regime. Stone can quickly become soiled due to high pollution which allows soiling to accumulate trapping moisture and causing damage to the facade over time.
