Chemical, Poultice and Latex cleaning

Removing Deeply Embedded Contaminants from Delicate Masonry and Stone

Specialised, Non-Abrasive Methods

Chemical, poultice, and latex cleaning systems are specialized, non-abrasive methods for removing deeply embedded contaminants like oil, carbon, or metallic stains from delicate masonry and stone.

Non Soluble Surfaces

Where specific soiling or paint is to be removed from a substrate that is non soluble for removal by super heated steam, we can select the correct chemical application required to react with the soiling, staining or paint.

Reduced Water Method

Where a reduced water method is needed, our dry steam units are engaged to assist in removal of the soiling or coating.

Prohibited Water Use

Where the use of water is prohibited, a Restorative latex will be used to mobilise the soiling.

Latex-based poultices (e.g. Restorative Latex) are applied as a paste, dry to a film, and are peeled away, taking dirt with them.
